Christie headshot  Christie Book is a Group Fitness Leader who specializes in Strength and Cardiovascular Training.  She has lead several types of fitness classes including Step, Hi-Lo, Kickboxing, Cycling, Interval Training, and Pilates. She got her initial certification in 2002, after which she worked at Gerrie’s Fitness Center in the Conyngham Valley for over two years.  Due to family obligations, she left the industry for a brief period but returned to the Hazleton YMCA/YWCA where she worked for over three years.  Interval Training, Strength Training, and Reebok Cycle were her responsibilities at this gym.  She recently left her position at the YMCA to pursue her dream of becoming Personal Training certified.  She is currently working toward the goal of acquiring her national certification.  Christie prides herself in varying her workouts, and incorporates modern, Top 20 music as well as Classic Rock and Hip Hop to keep things fresh and upbeat.  Her positive attitude has always kept a steady following at her precious employers, and her classes were usually filled to capacity during peak months.  She modifies her classes easily to allow for varied levels of fitness, and takes her responsibilities as a fitness leader seriously.  She continues building on her knowledge base by attending yearly fitness conferences to better serve her students, and is eager to bring her knowledge to Butterfly Life Fitness Center.   She believes she will be a great asset to your fitness schedule.
